About the Role: Staff Data Analyst, Marketing We are looking for a talented and experienced Staff Data Analyst, Marketing to spearhead critical analytics projects aimed at driving incremental Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) through upsell opportunities. Key Responsibilities Partner with Marketing leadership to transform analytical insights into clear narratives and actionable growth strategies Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and alignment on upsell success metrics Design and maintain comprehensive dashboards to track upsell performance and marketing campaign effectiveness Conduct in-depth analyses to identify key drivers of customer upsell behavior Leverage advanced analytical and statistical techniques to predict upsell propensity and optimize targeting Design and evaluate experiments to test hypotheses and quantify business impact Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in data collection, analysis, and reporting Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in marketing analytics to drive innovation within the team Mentor team members and foster a culture of data-informed decision making across the organization Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Prior experience working in marketing and/or product analytics at a technology company (or similar environment) Seasoned in transforming intricate and complex data into clear, actionable strategies for diverse audiences Adept at using SQL and Python/R for data modeling and statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, experimentation, regressions) Extensive familiarity with funnel optimization, customer segmentation, cohort analyses, and related analytical techniques Proven expertise in recommending, implementing, and analyzing different types of marketing attribution models Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates who possess the following preferred qualifications: Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., mathematics, statistics, computer science) Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing systems Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and techniques Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Strong business acumen and understanding of marketing principles and strategies Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify key trends and insights Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams Strong business acumen and understanding of marketing principles and strategies Ability to think strategically and drive business growth through data-driven insights and recommendations Strong technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Toast, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $111,000 - $178,000 USD, as well as opportunities for overtime, bonus/commissions, and equity.
