As a Student Success Coach, you will be responsible for assisting students throughout their education program, providing personalized support, guidance, and motivation to help them overcome challenges and achieve their academic goals. You will work closely with each student, developing a deep understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, and aspirations, and creating tailored plans to help them succeed. Key Responsibilities Support enrollment, student development, and retention services, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for all students. Manage a group of assigned students, coaching each through their degree program through proactive and timely outreach. Encourage and support students through daily and weekly outreach, helping them develop the skills and knowledge necessary for academic success. Provide a trusted and supportive environment where students feel comfortable sharing their thoughts, aspirations, concerns, and interests. Offer guidance on how to utilize available resources to maximize student success, including teaching students how to effectively use these resources. Become a certified resume reviewer to provide resume and career development support, empowering students to achieve their career goals. Act as a liaison for students, connecting them with various departments and ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (or international equivalent). At least two years of experience in academic/admissions support, customer service, human resources, and/or counseling. Knowledge of academic policies and procedures, with the ability to learn technical skills quickly. Excellent communication and listening skills, including a pleasant phone manner and strong customer support focus. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a remote or virtual environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage your time effectively. Familiarity with student information systems and other education-related software. Certification as a resume writer or career coach, or willingness to obtain certification through our paid program. Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and with varying learning styles.
