Job Overview We are seeking an experienced User Support Specialist to join our high-impact Support team. As a User Support Specialist at blithequark, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our growing user base via live chat and email. This is a fully remote role that offers a flexible Tuesday-Saturday schedule, and we are looking for candidates who are ideally located in the United States. Key Responsibilities Provide friendly, expert support to blithequark creators and their subscribers via email and live chat, ensuring that their questions are answered and issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Manage your time effectively to provide live chat coverage for up to 50% of your time (or 4 hours per shift), attend daily team meetings, and contribute to team operations (up to 20% of your time), with the remaining time spent providing support via email. Collaborate closely with the Support team and other colleagues across the company to solve user concerns effectively and efficiently, demonstrating urgency and discernment when escalating user issues and feedback to Engineering, Product, and other teams. Stay up-to-date with the latest product and company updates by being a frequent user of the blithequark app and participating in training sessions and team meetings. Requirements To be successful in this role, you should have: A passion for helping people and a rewarding experience in solving their problems. Excellent communication skills, both in speech and writing, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner. Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with ambiguity and changing priorities. At least 2+ years of experience working with Support, Engineering, and/or Product teams, including experience with live channels. The ability to provide solutions for a wide variety of technical support challenges and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes. Alignment with blithequark's mission to build a new economic engine for culture and experience as a blithequark subscriber (experience as a creator is a plus!). Experience with Zendesk and Stripe is a plus, as well as direct experience with coding languages (JavaScript and HTML) and third-party APIs (Stripe). Essential Qualifications In addition to the requirements listed above, the ideal candidate will have: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions. Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. A strong understanding of customer support principles and practices, with a focus on providing exceptional customer experiences. Experience working in a remote team environment and a self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working in a startup environment and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities and processes. Knowledge of the publishing industry and the challenges faced by creators and subscribers. Experience with other customer support tools and technologies, such as CRM software and helpdesk platforms. A certification in customer support or a related field, such as a Certified Customer Support Specialist (CCSS) or a Certified Technical Support Specialist (CTSS). Our cash compensation salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000, with final offer amounts determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise.
