As a key member of our team, you'll collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to develop and implement personalized learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student. Your goal will be to help students succeed academically and socially, while promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. Key Responsibilities: Develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs): Create and implement personalized learning goals for students with disabilities, ensuring their academic and developmental needs are met. Adapt Curriculum: Modify teaching methods, materials, and instructional strategies to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students. Manage Classroom Behavior: Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive learning environment and address any behavioral challenges. Collaborate with Staff and Families: Work closely with general education teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support and communication regarding student progress. Progress Monitoring: Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues. Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Master's Degree: Master's degree in Special Education or related field. Teaching Certification: Active teaching certification in Washington. Experience: At least 2 years of special education experience (virtual experience is a plus). Preferred Qualifications: Virtual Teaching Experience: Experience teaching in a virtual or online setting. Assistive Technology: Familiarity with assistive technology and educational software. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
