Field Engineering Technician

The Field Engineering Technician will perform field inspections, engineering design work, and provide engineering support during construction, ensuring all applicable standards are met. Responsibilities Review work provided by Client and assess requirements of scopes Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met Conduct root cause analysis of outages and mitigation using engineering principles and design Travel to sites as needed, perform inspections and return to the office to perform engineering design work Skills High school diploma or equivalent is required 6+ months of prior relevant experience for Level 1 1+ years of prior relevant experience for Level 2 Associates Degree or higher in engineering technology or related is preferred for Level 2 Able to walk at least one mile, swing a 3lb hammer, and execute field work on a daily basis Willingness to perform both field and office work Able to work in both team and independent environments to organize work to meet deadlines Written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in outdoor environments, as some field work could be required Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Associates Degree or higher in engineering technology or related is preferred for Level 2 Benefits Competitive compensation Health and Wellness programs Income Protection Paid Leave Retirement Company Overview Leidos is a Fortune 500® innovation company rapidly addressing the world’s most vexing challenges in national security and health.
