As a Financial Accounting Analyst, you will play a critical role in providing financial accounting and risk mitigation services to Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products. Job Summary As a Financial Accounting Analyst in the Gatherings, Shows, and Events group, you will be responsible for reviewing, reporting, and invoicing residential and customized events held at Disneyland Resort. You will work closely with various teams, including Catering and Show Sales and Services, Corporate Credit, and Collections, to ensure that contractual agreements are completed accurately and efficiently. Your primary goal will be to provide timely and accurate invoices to our guests, while also supporting collection efforts and resolving disputes. Key Responsibilities • Perform recurring monthly reconciliations, reporting results, quarter-end tasks, and other ad-hoc duties • Support activities related to the Gatherings and Shows receivables accounts • Perform various control and consistency procedures, including processing journal entries, scheduling account reconciliations, and assisting with special reporting requests • Prepare monthly third-party payments for external vendors that support Catering and Show Services clients • Plan and process a quarterly reclassification entry of the internal food and beverage activity • Provide recurring analysis and reporting results to Financial Reporting to support financial close • Collaborate with other financial accounting teams to accommodate and clear aged open items • Periodically perform audit and invoicing of events • Perform analysis and gather key data used by leadership to make informed decisions • Ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX regulations Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or another relevant scientific field • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including developing financial models • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint • Excellent presentational, verbal, and written communication skills • Collaborative with people at all levels within an organization • Understanding of financial risks and ability to develop adequate controls • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines • Demonstrated understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting Preferred Qualifications • SAP experience • Experience driving operational improvements and business results • Passion for the Disney product and brand • CPA, Master's in Accounting, or MBA preferred What We Offer As a Disney employee, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including: • Competitive salary ($27-$35/hour) • Opportunity to work remotely on a full-time basis • Comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage • 401(k) retirement savings plan • Paid time off and holidays • Opportunities for career growth and professional development • Access to exclusive Disney events and experiences Career Growth and Learning Benefits At Disney, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their skills.
