Financial Analyst

As a Financial Analyst on the Pinion Risk Management team, you’ll analyze financial data and support decision-making for dairy farms, contributing to their growth and success. Responsibilities Analyze and Interpret Data: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data to support decision-making and growth initiatives for dairy clients Deliver Accurate Reporting: Prepare financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, budgets, benchmarking) and provide actionable insights Collaborate for Impact: Work closely with team members to identify process improvements and enhance efficiency Support Growth: Provide timely analytics to drive regional and national expansion strategies Adapt and Innovate: Learn new tools, techniques, and methodologies to strengthen analytical capabilities Engage with Clients: Participate in on-site visits to dairy farms up to twice a week, with limited overnight travel Skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Agribusiness, or related field (or equivalent experience) Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and lookup functions Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software Experience with farm and production management software (e.g., DairyComp, FeedWatch) is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail Critical thinking Demonstrated interest in agriculture, with preference for experience in ag and/or dairy operations High integrity Ability to maintain confidentiality Excellent communication skills for presenting findings Comfortable leveraging technology for data analysis and reporting Self-motivated, curious, and adaptable in a dynamic environment Ability and willingness to do day travel to rural locations, including dairy farms Limited overnight travel Valid driver's license Benefits Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance 401k/profit-sharing Paid time off Holidays Flexible work arrangements Paid leave Company Overview Pinion provides accounting and consulting services to the food and agriculture industries.
