Financial Institutions - Analyst (MD / NY / Chicago)
Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) is seeking an Analyst to join its Financial Institution’s Group. This position offers the opportunity to grow as a ratings and financial institutions research professional while developing analytical skills and producing research reports. Responsibilities Ability to develop specialized analytical skills in terms of financial statement analysis including ratio analysis for a variety of financial sectors Demonstrated attention to detail skills and willingness to see that tasks are followed through to completion Play a key role in the production of standardized research and ad hoc reports including extensive use of Excel for data population and manipulation for use in published analytical reports Willingness to collaborate with analysts in disparate locations and learn new skills Skills Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (with a preference for at least 12 semester hours or four courses in accounting if not an accounting major) Strong interest and/or relevant work experience in credit or financial analysis and/or accounting Strong proficiency with Excel including Macros, VLOOKUP's, and Pivot Tables Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines Ability to develop specialized analytical skills in terms of financial statement analysis including ratio analysis for a variety of financial sectors Demonstrated attention to detail skills and willingness to see that tasks are followed through to completion Play a key role in the production of standardized research and ad hoc reports including extensive use of Excel for data population and manipulation for use in published analytical reports Willingness to collaborate with analysts in disparate locations and learn new skills Familiarity with Generative AI tools such as ChatGPT for research, data insights, and general productivity Benefits A hybrid work schedule (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in the office) Competitive benefits and paid time off Paid family and disability leave 401(k) plan, including employer match (100% vested) Educational and professional development financial assistance Employee referral bonus program Company Overview Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) was founded in 2010 to restore trust in credit ratings by introducing higher standards of risk assessment and a commitment to transparency.
