Financial Modeling Analyst - Excel LBOs, M&A & Operating Models (Part-Time)
Inspire Partners, an international Private Equity firm, is seeking skilled financial modeling professionals to build high-quality Excel models for our training and analysis programs. This is a part-time, contract-based opportunity with performance-based compensation. About the Role: You will create comprehensive financial models following detailed prompts and specifications. Models include LBO analyses, M&A valuations, operating models, DCF valuations, and three-statement builds across various industries (healthcare, SaaS, infrastructure, real estate, etc.). What You'll Do: Build complex Excel-based financial models (LBOs, M&A, operating models, DCFs) Follow detailed written prompts with specific formatting and calculation requirements Ensure accuracy in formulas, linking, and financial statement integrity Maintain professional Excel conventions (color coding: blue for inputs, black for formulas, green for cross-sheet references) Complete models typically requiring 4-5 hours of focused work each Requirements: Strong Excel proficiency (advanced formulas, financial modeling best practices) Financial modeling experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate finance, or similar Understanding of LBOs, M&A transactions, three-statement modeling, and valuation methodologies Exceptional attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications precisely Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Must be willing to sign an NDA before starting work Compensation Structure: Hourly Rate: $[5-15]/hour (based on experience) Performance Bonus: $25-$50 per completed model/project that meets quality standards; no limit to performance bonus (i.e., if you compete 4 models that is $100 bonus for that week + your hourly pay) Trial Period: Initial test assignment(s) to assess fit Project Duration: 1-2 months initially, with potential for ongoing work based on performance and business needs To Apply: Please submit: Your resume highlighting financial modeling experience Brief description of your most complex modeling project Your availability (hours per week) Sample Excel model (if available - can be anonymized/sanitized) Selection Process: Initial review of applications NDA signature for selected candidates Trial assignment(s) to assess technical capabilities Ongoing assignments for successful candidates Apply tot his job
