We are democratizing and disrupting the financial planning industry by offering comprehensive advice on an hourly basis only, with no commissions, no assets under management, and no commitments. Fearless Finance is a brand of Atwood Financial Planning, which is a Registered Investment Adviser with the SEC. Position Summary The Financial Planning Associate will work directly with clients to develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive financial plans. The ideal candidate will have an active CFP® certification, at least 2 years of financial planning experience, and a passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals in a judgment free way and on an hourly basis. Key Responsibilities • Conduct client meetings to gather financial data, understand goals, and assess needs. • Work with clients to develop comprehensive financial plans and recommendations using our planning process. • Analyze client financial situations including cash flow, investments, retirement, insurance, estate, tax, and risk management planning. • Assist with implementing financial planning recommendations, including referrals specialists within the firm, and financial products sold by other vendors, as needed. • Maintain and update client records and planning documentation. • Provide ongoing client service, including plan reviews, plan updates, and follow-up communication. • Prepare a Summary Note after each meeting and send it to the client within 3 days of the meeting. • Respond to prospect and client emails within one business day unless there are extenuating circumstances. • Maintain records and other administrative documents in the firm’s CRM system and document management system. • Stay current with all compliance and regulatory requirements. • Stay current with industry developments, regulations, and best practices. • Adhere to ethical and compliance standards as set forth by the firm’s policies, CFP® Board, applicable laws. Required Qualifications • Certified Financial Planner™ certification — active/maintained in good standing. • Minimum 2 years of experience in financial planning or a closely related role. • Knowledge of fiduciary standards and regulatory compliance. • Demonstrated success in building strong client relationships. • Strong understanding of comprehensive financial planning topics including balance sheet management, cash flow, retirement, investments, insurance, tax strategies, and estate planning. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • High level of professionalism and commitment to ethical practice. Benefits & Perks • Competitive hourly pay • Position starts as 1099 contractor, with potential to grow to W2 with benefits.
