Financial Software Engineer
My client is one of Boston Investment and Financial Services' most recognizable names. They are currently hiring a senior software engineer to join one of their most high profile and critical business groups in technology. They are writing a next generation application platform that will be used and vied by Executives and business leaders throughout the firm. The platform will measure portfolio performance and risk, and is mission critical to their future growth and success. The successful sw engineer should have strong experience writing software and applications using Python and Java. Not just Python scripting, but actually coding in Python. The candidate also must have experience in Finance itself because you will be working directly with quants who use the data for investment modeling. Requirements: 5-7+ years of software/application development using Python, Java, Postgres, RDBMS in an investment or financial services setting • ability to write clean, scalable, secure code within a collaborative team environment • Some understanding of Math, Finance, or Computational Science (CS, Engineering, Science, etc) • Ability to communicate and collaborate with the business to include Executive users and sponsors This is an immediate need for a skilled software engineer.
