Senior Front End DevOps Consultant Midrand / Menlyn / Rosslyn / Remote About the Opportunity Our client in the motor industry is a global innovator in technology and digital transformation, delivering cutting-edge IT solutions to support a world-renowned automotive brand. You’ll be joining a high-performing, dynamic IT Hub in South Africa that delivers mission-critical systems for supply chain and manufacturing operations worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Front End DevOps Consultant to play a pivotal role in building and maintaining front-end applications for global manufacturing plants. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with flexible working conditions. Requirements Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain user-friendly front-end solutions for global supply chain applications. • Build backend functionality and REST APIs using Java or Python. • Manage automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code. • Ensure quality and operational excellence through active participation in 2nd and 3rd level support. • Conduct API integration, monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting. • Collaborate globally across teams using Agile methodologies. • Participate in quality assurance checks and provide technical guidance. Core Skills & Experience Required Front End Development (6+ years): • JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS • Angular (v9+) or React • Automated testing: Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright Backend Development (3+ years): • Java (JavaEE) and/or Python (v3.9+) • Frameworks: Spring Boot, Quarkus, Flask, or Django • Unit to E2E testing frameworks DevOps Expertise (1+ year): • Docker, Kubernetes • CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Helm, GitOps, ArgoCD, Flux) • Monitoring & logging • Experience with public cloud providers (preferably Microsoft Azure) ITIL knowledge in Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
