The app fuses the energy of short-form video with the credibility of outlets like AP, Reuters, Politico, Bloomberg, NPR, PBS, and The Hill. 11,000+ users joined our waitlist in the first 30 days, proving demand for civic news that’s transparent, interactive, and empowering. ⸻ The Opportunity We’re seeking a Full-Stack iOS Developer to architect and build the entire Engage60 platform from the ground up. You’ll work directly with our CTO and founding team to bring the product to life — designing the app’s core systems, implementing our patented features, and shaping one of the most promising civic technology launches of this decade. You’ll join Engage60 on an equity-only basis for now, receiving founder-level ownership, and help us build the foundation for a platform capable of engaging millions of Americans — including our goal of registering 250,000 new Gen Z and Millennial voters by 2028. ⸻ Your Role • Architect, design, and build the Engage60 iOS app (with future Android rollout). • Collaborate closely with the CTO on product architecture, infrastructure, and AI integration. • Develop the Four-Button System and Two-Feed Algorithm (Balanced vs Open). • Integrate AI video and news-licensing systems (OpenAI, Gemini, Veo3, Runway). • Build fast, swipeable short-form feeds optimized for 60-second civic explainers. • Ensure scalable backend setup (Node.js / Python / Firebase / AWS). • Contribute to building a world-class engineering culture from day one. ⸻ Qualifications • 5+ years full-stack or mobile app experience (Swift, React Native, or Flutter). • Backend experience (Node.js, Python, Firebase, or AWS). • Experience with AI tools, content recommendation systems, or news APIs. • Prior startup or early-stage experience is a plus. • Passion for civic engagement, innovation, and media reform. ⸻ What You’ll Get • Founder-level equity for now plus full salary after the close of our $750,000 Pre-Seed Round (closing Q4 2025) and significant upside on exit. • Work side-by-side with the CTO and founding team. • Ownership of the full product architecture. • The chance to build something with real social and civic impact. • Direct access to investors, advisors, and media-tech leaders.
