FULLY REMOTE Job Opportunity: Product Counsel, Property & Inland Marine – Insurance Sector We are proud to represent our client, a leading carrier in the Insurance industry, in their search for a fully remote and experienced Product Development Counsel specializing in Property, Inland Marine, and/or Auto spaces. This fast growing, dynamic business, is in the midst of building out a legal and product function, creating brand new products and getting them out to market. Role & Responsibilities • Report to the Deputy General Counsel and work alongside a highly impressive legal team that boast an incredible and supportive work environment. • Provide expert legal advice on product development initiatives related to property insurance. • Analyze and interpret policy wordings and coverage to ensure alignment with regulatory compliance and business objectives. • Craft, review, and modify insurance policy wording to achieve clarity and minimize risks. • Collaborate closely with the product team to ensure legal requirements are embedded in the design of new insurance products. • Manage and mitigate legal risks by identifying issues, offering solutions, and implementing preventative measures. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation changes that directly impact insurance products and practices. Qualifications • MUST HAVE a Juris Doctor and admission to practice in the USA • MUST HAVE at least 3-6 years of true, insurance P&C products experience, preferably in the 1st party property, inland marine and auto spaces. • MUST HAVE experience with the full product life cycle and drafting of insurance products. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. • Exceptional communication skills, capable of effectively articulating legal advice to non-legal team members. • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. • Collaborative and collegial demeanor, with a honed attention to detail.
