GIS Analyst

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented GIS Analyst to join our team and drive innovative spatial data solutions. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in geographic information systems (GIS), land surveying, and data management to support a variety of projects across infrastructure, urban planning, and environmental sectors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while advancing your skills in GIS technology, programming, and project management. • Develop, maintain, and update GIS databases using ArcGIS, SQL, and relational database systems to ensure accurate spatial data management. • Conduct land surveying activities utilizing GPS technology and coordinate with field teams to collect precise geospatial data. • Create detailed maps and visualizations using GIS software, AutoCAD, CAD, and data visualization tools to communicate complex information clearly. • Write scripts in Python, JavaScript, or other scripting languages to automate workflows, enhance data collection processes, and develop custom GIS applications through APIs. • Analyze spatial data to identify patterns, trends, and insights that support project planning and decision-making. • Collaborate with project teams on construction projects by providing CAD drafting support and integrating GIS data into design models. • Manage large datasets by organizing, cleaning, and validating data within SharePoint or other content management systems for easy access and sharing. • Lead small project teams or initiatives related to GIS implementation or data collection efforts while ensuring timely delivery of results. • Support the integration of GIS with other enterprise systems such as databases and APIs for seamless data exchange. • Assist in training staff on GIS tools like ArcGIS or AutoCAD to improve overall team capabilities in spatial analysis and drafting. • Proven experience working with GIS software such as ArcGIS or similar platforms; proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD drafting is highly desirable. • Strong understanding of land surveying techniques, GPS technology, and field data collection methods. • Hands-on experience with SQL databases, relational database management systems, and data modeling practices. • Skilled in scripting languages including Python and JavaScript for automation tasks; familiarity with APIs for system integration is a plus. • Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex spatial datasets into actionable insights. • Knowledge of construction processes and how GIS supports infrastructure development projects. • Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines. • Leadership qualities with experience guiding team members or managing small projects from inception through completion. • Strong communication skills for presenting findings clearly through reports or visualizations; experience with SharePoint for document management is advantageous. • Familiarity with GPS devices, data visualization techniques, and data collection standards used in land surveying or environmental assessments.
