Title: GIS Data Engineer Location: Remote Position Type: Full Time Compensation Pay Range:$120,000-$160,000 Per Year Job Description: Join our team as a GIS Data Engineer in a fully remote capacity based in Toronto, Canada. This full-time role involves leading the integration and scaling of geospatial data streams into our data platform, crucial for sustainability monitoring. The position requires expertise in geospatial analysis and cloud-based development using programming languages. Key Responsibilities Develop scalable data pipelines to automate geospatial data ingestion from various sources. Implement spatial analysis capabilities for complex geospatial queries and raster analysis. Establish and manage field boundaries with strong spatial integrity and governance. Design workflows for processing raster data and detecting land-use changes. Build a cloud-native architecture for storing and processing large volumes of data. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Science, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field. 5 years of experience in geospatial analysis and cloud-based development. Proven experience in raster data processing and remote sensing. Strong understanding of spatial databases and geospatial cloud architectures. Experience integrating diverse spatial data sources and automating workflows.
