The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud architecture, operational excellence, performance efficiency, reliability, security, and cost. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining secure cloud environments, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and driving business growth. Key Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure Management: Implement, oversee, and manage cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance for in-house and client environments. Monitoring and Maintenance: Implement monitoring solutions and regularly maintain the cloud environment to ensure optimal performance. Incident Response: Respond to and resolve cloud-related incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations. Backup and Recovery: Manage backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability. Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud costs to ensure efficient use of resources and budget. Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of cloud infrastructure, configurations, and procedures. Collaboration: Work closely with development and IT teams to align cloud operations with business goals. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and best practices to continuously improve the cloud environment. Client Relationships: Work closely with clients to architect and implement cloud solutions that meet their business requirements and align with their IT strategy. Technical Presentations: Perform technical presentations for customers, partners, and prospects. Migration: Assist in the migration of data, applications, and services to the cloud. Cloud Security: Implement and maintain cloud security posture management (CSPM), vulnerability scanning, and threat assessment. Additional Responsibilities Platform Development: Build, enhance, and maintain platforms supporting our best operational and security practice services. SecOps Team Support: Support and advise SecOps team and other senior roles on security trends, opportunities, and strategy. Tooling Development: Develop tooling that enhances the operational security of our and our customers' platforms. Mentorship: Mentor and lead other SecOps engineers in day-to-day activities. Security Governance: Work with Information Security and Compliance teams to ensure security strategy is delivered. Vulnerability Management: Ensure vulnerabilities are managed by the completion of periodic vulnerability scans of networks and subsequent remedial action by supporting teams. Qualifications Experience 4+ years of working experience as a Cloud Operations & Security Engineer. 4+ years of experience in cloud technologies, especially in AWS & Azure, with overall cloud computing experience of 8-10 years. Experience in developing and implementing SecOps practices. Experience in creating cloud-based infrastructure as per business requirements and within the company framework. Experience in creating infrastructure within secure VPC (Virtual Private Cloud) of AWS / Vnets in Azure. Certifications AWS Certified Security – Specialty CompTIA Security+ Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate Microsoft SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst Microsoft Azure Skills and Expertise Security and Privacy: Passionate about security and privacy with an excellent understanding of the principles and technologies involved. Cloud Security: Knowledge of Azure, AWS & GCP cloud security offerings, including features, benefits, use cases, and competitive differentiators. Cloud Computing: Understanding of cloud computing concepts, cybersecurity principles, and common security threats. Data Protection: Knowledge of data protection, encryption, network security, security best practices, identity and access management (IAM), compliance standards, and cloud architecture. Security Governance: Understanding of Security Governance & compliance, Industry standards & regulations like ISO, CIS, NIST, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc. Consultative Approach: Consultative approach to sales, focusing on understanding the customer's unique security needs and challenges. Industry Knowledge: Industry knowledge about industry trends, emerging threats, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape in cloud security. Additional Competencies Client Relationships: Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication capabilities with the ability to interact and influence at all levels of the organization.
