Google Ads Strategist (Part-Time / Contract)

About the Role: MisfitBound Marketing is expanding its paid media services and is looking for a Google Ads Strategist to manage and optimize Search-based Google Ads accounts for one client with growth to multiple clients. This role is ideal for someone who understands Google Ads strategy, values clean account structure, and can clearly explain why certain decisions are made — not just click buttons. You’ll work closely with ownership to execute campaigns and help support the growth of this service by contributing strategic insight during sales and onboarding conversations. What You’ll Be Responsible For: • Building, managing, and optimizing Google Ads Search campaigns • Improving performance through: • Keyword research & structure • Bidding strategies • Ad copy testing • Conversion-focused optimization • Monitoring budgets, performance trends, and search terms • Setting up and reviewing conversion tracking (with support) • Documenting strategies and optimization changes • Supporting paid media audits and strategy reviews • Assisting with internal sales conversations by providing: • Strategic insight • Feasibility feedback • Campaign recommendations Required Experience: • Working knowledge of Google Ads (Search-focused) • Understanding of: • Campaign structure by intent • Conversion-based optimization • Quality Score fundamentals • Ability to explain performance and strategy in plain language • Strong organization and time management skills • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment Compensation & Growth: • $25–$30/hr depending on experience • Flexible workload • Long-term opportunity as paid media services expand • Opportunity to help shape MisfitBound’s Google Ads offering and internal playbooks Preferred / Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate is not someone who is only focused on hourly pay or isolated task execution.
