About the Internship This 4-month internship is designed to provide a meaningful and educational experience for individuals interested in grant writing, public health, and healthcare innovation. As a Grant Writing Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience in grant proposal development while working closely with an experienced researcher who will guide and support you throughout the internship. The focus is on skill-building, mentorship, and professional development, making it an ideal opportunity for students or recent graduates. Key Responsibilities Conduct research and gather relevant data to support grant proposals, ensuring accuracy and relevance. Identify and evaluate grant opportunities aligned with our mission and objectives, staying up-to-date on industry trends. Assist in drafting, formatting, and editing grant proposals to ensure high-quality submissions. Track and report on the status of grant applications, including follow-up and reporting requirements, to ensure timely and effective communication. Learn to develop budgets required for grant applications, gaining a deeper understanding of financial planning and management. Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this internship, you should: Be currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. program in a research-oriented field (e.g., health, journalism, communication, writing, English literature, social science, education, business, or related areas). Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively. Be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in your work. Be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies. Have prior experience in grant writing or similar tasks (optional but preferred). Have a track record of academic or professional writing, such as research papers or proposals (optional but preferred).
