Health Policy Analyst, Pharma
Job Description: • Conduct ongoing research on federal, state, and local healthcare policies, regulations, and drug access legislation. • Track and interpret legislative developments related to specialty pharmaceuticals, patient access, reimbursement, affordability, and care delivery models. • Assess implications of policy changes on AssistRx’s services, patient support programs, and client strategies. • Develop high-quality policy briefs, issue summaries, white papers, and strategic recommendations for both internal teams and external biopharma partners. • Translate complex policy issues into clear, concise, and actionable insights for diverse audiences. • Provide expert consultation to internal leadership, commercial teams, and clients regarding risk, opportunity, and strategic response frameworks. • Partner with Product, Marketing, Client Services, Compliance, and Data teams to forecast impact and align strategy with emerging policy trends. • Serve as a policy subject-matter expert in client discussions, strategic planning sessions, and new solution development. • Represent AssistRx at policy briefings, industry conferences, advocacy forums, and stakeholder meetings. • Support advocacy and thought-leadership initiatives through data-driven storytelling and policy-informed messaging. Requirements: • Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), Public Policy (MPP), Health Economics, Political Science, Health Administration, or related field. • 3–7+ years of experience in health policy analysis, research, or healthcare advocacy. • Proven experience interpreting and assessing federal or state health policy (e.g., CMS, Medicaid, Medicare, ACA, drug-pricing legislation). • Strong understanding of U.S. healthcare delivery, financing models, reimbursement, and specialty pharma. • Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel required; R, STATA, SPSS, or similar preferred). • Exceptional written communication skills, including the ability to produce publishable-quality briefs and reports. • Ability to synthesize complex regulatory information into strategic, business-relevant insights. • Familiarity with legislative and regulatory processes.Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with federal/state health agencies, public health departments, research organizations, think tanks, or biopharma. • Knowledge of Medicaid/Medicare policy, ACA marketplace dynamics, global health financing, or drug-pricing mechanisms. • Experience in patient access programs, hub services, or pharmaceutical commercialization strategy.
