Role Description This position offers a unique opportunity to shape Meta’s approach to digital health and regulatory compliance at a global scale. As Associate General Counsel, Healthcare Compliance, you will provide strategic legal support and guidance on complex healthcare fraud & abuse laws, medical device compliance (FDA) requirements, and international health regulations. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to address emerging issues in digital health and help design, implement, and manage Meta’s Healthcare Compliance Program. This role is ideal for someone interested in navigating the evolving landscape of healthcare law and driving meaningful change in the tech industry. • Deliver legal counsel to ensure Meta’s health-related products, services, and operations comply with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry standards • Support the ongoing development, enhancement, and oversight of Meta’s healthcare compliance program • Collaborate with team members to draft, review, and update policies and procedures, ensuring they reflect current regulatory requirements and industry best practices • Regularly assess and monitor healthcare compliance risks by conducting risk assessments and validation activities • Provide strategic legal counsel to support Meta’s engagement with health regulators globally • Create and deliver healthcare compliance training that’s relevant and practical for different teams at Meta • Monitor emerging global healthcare laws and regulations potentially applicable to Meta’s products • Travel domestically and internationally as needed Qualifications • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) • Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status (if required by the State Bar in the assigned work location) • 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house or government experience • Experience in medical device, life sciences, or healthcare industry • In-depth knowledge of fraud & abuse laws, regulations, and enforcement • Demonstrate business judgment and client counseling skills • Effective communication skills Requirements • Experience working in-house with technology, consumer electronics, telecommunications, or medical device companies, especially on commercialization projects • Skilled at providing regulatory guidance for products and technologies that are evolving faster than current laws and regulations • Experience using a risk-based approach when tackling compliance challenges • Experience delivering practical advice under pressure and prioritizing work Benefits • $202,000/year to $274,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits Apply tot his job
