Role Description The role of the Clinical Pharmacist in the Pharmacy Advisor team, a specially developed clinical program for CVS Caremark, is to provide support and consultation to targeted members regarding the disease state(s) supported by the program. • Identify members who meet the desired counseling opportunity criteria through sophisticated modeling and systems. • Make outbound calls (with return inbound calls likely) directly to patients. • Provide education on new therapies and partner with the patient to solve for non-adherence issues. • Work with the patient and the prescriber to assess the need for supplemental medications based on the unique needs of the patient and their disease state. • Collaborate closely with the patient's prescriber, other Pharmacy Advisor staff, and other CVS Caremark departments to address patient issues. • Complete an internal, disease-specific training program including learning the innovative skill of behavioral modification and interviewing. • Utilize skill sets as key drivers to positively impact patient health outcomes. • Work in a highly charged, fast-paced call center and participate in the further development and refinement of work systems, tools, processes, and procedures. This is a remote role open to qualified candidates residing in AZ, HI, TX, IL, FL, or PA and holding active, unrestricted pharmacist licensure within their state of residence. Qualifications • 1+ years in Retail, LTC, Hospital or PBM pharmacy experience, or other pharmacist-to-patient consultation experience. • Experience working with patients with chronic disease states, especially diabetes. • Experience working as a pharmacist in a call center or other remote environment. • Adequate home internet required. High Speed Internet preferred. Required minimum speeds of 50 mb/sec download and 5 mb/sec upload. Preferred Qualifications • Pharmacy knowledge, drug utilization review, excellent consultation skills with patients, strong customer service skills. • PC literate, solid writing skills, knowledge of pharmacy laws, and accurate clinical information. • Excellent communication skills. Ability to learn new operating systems and new communication strategies. • Must be flexible, organized and have a passion for working directly with patients. Education • BS in Pharmacy or Pharm D. Anticipated Weekly Hours 40 Time Type Full time Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $45.43 - $101.54 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
