Role Description This role involves providing comprehensive acquisition support services and ensuring compliance with federal regulations. • Possess a working knowledge of the Federal acquisition life cycle. • Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of technical and cost/price data. • Read and interpret Federal acquisition policy, regulations, and directives. • Review and/or write requirements, ensuring receipt of sound and sufficient procurement packages submitted by Contracting Office customers. • Provide business advice and assistance to functional area technical experts, requiring activities, and customers. • Analyze and assist in the development of Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs). • Work with technical experts and the Contracting Officer (CO) to ensure project milestones are reflected in contractual documents and project plans. • Plan, coordinate, evaluate, and execute logistical actions required to support the mission of the organization. • Support, coordinate, and assist with planning, preparing, developing, executing, and maintaining acquisition plans, strategies, and overall program office acquisition administration functions. • Research and review applicable policies, guidance, and regulations to support the customer and CO in decision making. • Coordinate with leadership, staff, and stakeholders to conduct analyses and recommend or develop a course of action. • Assist in the performance of cost benefit analysis. • Analyze and evaluate pricing data to draft a price reasonableness recommendation for the CO. • Establish parameters and maintain controls to ensure contracts are executed in accordance with terms and conditions. • Monitor contract performance and solve problems relating to proposals for change, claims, payments, and similar issues. • Prepare or draft contract modifications and associated documentation requirements. • Support COs and Contract Specialists (CSs) on all phases of acquisition for contract modifications, change orders, and delivery order processes. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree with a major in any field; or at least twenty-four (24) semester hours in any combination of accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, and organization and management. • Minimum of three (3) recent years of relevant experience in conducting comprehensive acquisition support services. • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR), and all other applicable regulations and policies.
