Role Description TheSportster.com is looking for freelance Sports Writers to cover NFL, NBA, and MLB content (features and lists). • Contribute reliably and consistently (a min. of 10 articles per week). • Access a list of topics to choose from and pitch your own topics. • Provide and format images or relevant embeds for your articles. • Take on feedback and make revisions to articles when necessary. • Stay up to date on the latest sports news including stats, matches, injuries, etc. • Input work into our in-house CMS following our style and formatting guidelines. Qualifications • Strong knowledge and passion for sports (NBA, NFL, MLB). • Proven experience in sports writing for a digital publication. • Familiarity with SEO best practices. • Experience optimizing content for Facebook and Discover is a big plus! • Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
