Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP is a law firm focused on antitrust, intellectual property, and high-stakes litigation. They are seeking an HR Coordinator to manage the full lifecycle of staff recruiting and onboarding processes, while supporting hiring managers and maintaining HRIS data accuracy. Responsibilities Coordinate the Firm’s non-exempt recruitment efforts (job postings, resume review, applicant screening, scheduling interviews, etc…) within the HRIS system Manage unsolicited resumes and maintain a database of potential future candidates Liaise with hiring managers to develop a thorough understanding of the position being recruited for and to ensure a robust understanding of the work being performed Stay informed of hiring trends and innovative recruiting techniques to remain competitive Oversee the HR specific onboarding process for all new attorneys & staff Process I-9s and other compliance related documentation Coordinate with Legal Recruiting & Professional Development on related hiring activities for attorneys Create and foster relationships with local institutions (e.g., colleges, universities) and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and other prospective candidates Accurately enter new hire information into the HRIS system, ensuring timely onboarding and data integrity Perform regular audits of HRIS data to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly Provided necessary and timely employee change updates to Payroll Maintain and update employee records Other duties as assigned Skills Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or closely related field required Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written General knowledge of office equipment and tools Strong Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and various document management tools Ability to build rapport with attorneys and professional staff Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail Self-starter with high initiative and the ability to work independently but within a team environment Demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality as legally appropriate 1-3 years of related HR experience with a multi-state law firm or professional services organization preferred HRIS (e.g. ADP) experience strongly preferred Benefits Competitive starting pay and annual discretionary bonus and raise eligibility Generous paid time off benefits (vacation, personal days, holidays, and sick leave) Firm paid short and long-term disability, plus life and accident insurance 401(k) Profit Sharing Plan and Cash Balance Retirement Plan with generous employer contributions (please ask for further details re: eligibility requirements) Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance options Flexible spending and health savings accounts (medical plan dependent) Firm paid comprehensive Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Student loan refinancing discounts Lifestyle reimbursement program Hybrid remote work schedules are available for most employees (per current policy, in-office presence is required at least 4-days per week and fully remote roles are not available) Company Overview Axinn, Veltrop & Harkrider LLP is a law firm headquartered in New York.
