Human Resources Manager

OverviewThe Pictsweet Company is currently recruiting a Human Resources Manager to join our frozen vegetable processing facility in Ogden, UT. As part of the plant leadership team, this position will lead all HR functions and initiatives at the facility, and will also be responsible for manufacturing safety programs.ResponsibilitiesAdministrationSupervise administrative transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations. Files government personnel reports.Monitors budget of human resources operations.Supervise administration and communication of benefit programs. Coordinates translation of documents into Spanish, interprets for employees and management when necessary.Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons of separations. Recommends procedures to reduce turnover and absenteeism.Maintains associate records and evaluates associate programs and policies.Facilitates associate performance management program.Ensures legal compliance with all employment related federal, state and local government laws.Interprets and administers Company policies and procedures, which include: SOP's, Associate Handbook, Food Safety and Quality Procedures, Food Quality Policies, GMP Handbook, HACCP, and Pictsweet Safety Procedures.Develops, coordinates and/or conducts training programs for all associates.Supervises the daily operations of associates assigned to the Human Resource Department.Associate RelationsRepresents organization at personnel related hearings and investigations.Resolves communications and work related disputes between associates and supervisors. Counsels associates and managers to facilitate communications, resolve work related and human relation problems and ensures fair and equitable application of Company policy.Recruitment Recruits, interviews, and selects associates to fill vacant positions. Coordinates with employment/temp agencies as needed to fill open production positions.Plans and coordinates/conducts new associate orientation to foster positive impression of the Company and its goals.SafetyInvestigates accidents and prepares reports for insurance carrier and Pictsweet Risk Management department.Complies with mandatory OSHA documentation, including OSHA 300 and 300A.Ensures associate, food and plant safety in compliance with local, state and federal safety regulations through training programs and committee oversight.Administers Workers Compensation programs.QualificationsA Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.5 years of relevant experience in human resources, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules.Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.The Pictsweet Company is an equal opportunity employer.
