Key Responsibilities: Provide exceptional veterinary medical care, embodying the Chewy mission and delivering the pet parent WOW experience. Implement policies and procedures, utilizing integrated technology to ensure consistent and high-quality medical care. Demonstrate expertise in patient care, including blood transfusions, dentistry, wound care, and anesthesia monitoring. Mentor team members, manage inventory, and handle client complaints with professionalism and empathy. Communicate effectively with team members, keeping veterinarians informed of patient updates and developments. Participate in self-development courses and compliance training to stay up-to-date with industry best practices. Requirements: Successful completion of an accredited veterinary technology program and current licensure (preferred). 5+ years of experience as a Veterinary Technician in practice (preferred). Demonstrated ability to complete the veterinary technician skills checklist for Veterinary Technician III. Strong communication, observational, and analytical skills, with a passion for connecting with clients and demonstrating compassion. Thrives in a fast-paced, self-starter environment with a strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Physical Job Requirements: Standing or walking up to 80% per shift. Frequently lifting up to 50-70 pounds using an optional team lift. Occasionally lifting greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift.
