Job Overview: Key Responsibilities and Expectations As a Hybrid Customer Care Professional - Small Business, you'll be the face and voice of American Express, providing exceptional customer care and sales support to our small business customers. Your role will be multifaceted, requiring a unique blend of customer service expertise, sales acumen, and product knowledge. Key responsibilities will include: Servicing inbound calls from small business owners and decision-makers, providing personalized support, and recommending relevant American Express products and services to meet their needs. Delivering high levels of product and service knowledge to clearly communicate the features, benefits, and value proposition of American Express Small Business Services. Continuously improving sales skills, including building rapport, understanding customer needs, handling objections, and closing sales. Providing extraordinary customer care by responding to account-related queries in a fast-paced, structured environment. Documenting necessary account information according to established policies and procedures. Maintaining the highest standards of integrity by adhering to regulatory and compliance guidelines related to sales and servicing practices. Qualifications and Skills: What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a combination of essential and preferred qualifications. These include: Customer service experience (two years+) with a proven track record of building customer loyalty through exceptional listening, consultative relationship-building, and strong written and verbal communication. Proven success in a customer service and sales environment (two years+), with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, metric-driven environment. Proficient multitasking and navigation skills in a web-based environment. Experience owning or working in a small business is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
