ABC News is looking for a Production Associate to support the Assignment Desk in our Los Angeles Bureau. Our Production Associates support daily newsgathering and broadcast operations by assisting producers and editorial teams with research, video editing, and coordinating live and recorded segments. This role is essential in ensuring news content is accurate, timely, and visually compelling. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives under tight deadlines, and demonstrates a strong interest in current events and journalism. This position offers a foundational opportunity to contribute to impactful storytelling in a fast-paced newsroom environment. What You Will Do: • Support producers and correspondents on assignments by managing logistics, booking travel, and producing live shots for broadcasts including Good Morning America and World News Tonight. • Bringing in and monitor video feeds and breaking news across the News Division, making editorial calls to enhance content quality, • Make and answer phone calls during breaking news. Communicating with ABC news platforms and ABC stations as needed. • Identify, research, and pitch compelling stories for news coverage across platforms. Assist in clearing user generated social media content as needed. • Log, transcribe and process video content distributing across all of ABC News platforms. Qualifications: • Minimum of one-year experience working in a newsroom • Genuine interest in current events, journalism, and production. • Excellent multi-tasker with attention to details. • Proven ability to work under pressure. • Excellent verbal and written communication. • Availability to work flexible schedules/extended hours/weekends, evenings, overnights. The pay rate for this role in Glendale, CA is $25.63 to $34.28 per hour. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other factors.
