If you are ready for this challenge, we are ready for you! The Income Journal Accountant is responsible for working closely with the Income Journal (IJ) team and supporting Hyatt hotels. This role partners with Hyatt hotel properties to oversee the Income Journal process and support hotel accounting operations, including income journal activities and source system configurations and updates, with a primary focus on PMS. The ideal candidate serves as a subject matter expert in hotel accounting income journal processes and related systems, including Oracle Financials and Hyperion, and assists hotel accounting departments by providing guidance and technical expertise. In addition, the Income Journal Accountant is responsible for delivering Hyatt Shared Service Center (HSSC) income journal processes, supporting application re-engineering initiatives, and consulting with hotel accounting staff by providing expert advice to ensure compliance with shared services accounting standards. • *The ideal candidate will possess the following characteristics:** · Maintain a work environment that is comfortable, user-friendly, and organized · Ability to adapt to new demands, reprioritize workload and address urgent demands quickly · Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully to all associates and all internal/external resources · Eagerness and ability to learn new skills, technologies and business processes quickly · Ability to work well with others · Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and across all levels of the organization · Must be able to work inclusively, but also be able to work independently and without excessive supervision · Strong oral and written communication skills · Ability to maintain confidential information · Attention to detail _All qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status._ • *Qualifications:** • *Experience** + 2 years Hotel Accounting experience OR 1-2 Years Hotel Shared Service Experience + Knowledge of Shared Services and BPO operations + Understanding of Hyatt's business and strategy + Proficient in finance and accounting roles and responsibilities + Strong analytical, organizational, written and verbal communication + Familiar with Opera, Micros systems + Strong MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) + Experience with Hotel Daily Report and Hyperion (Preferred) + Oracle GL experience (Preferred) • *Education Additional Comments and Requirements** + 2 year College degree in Hospitality Administration, Accounting, Finance or Business (Preferred) • *Additional Comments and Requirements** + Weekend availablity is required + To work remotely, you must be able to adhere to our IT requirements, including, but not limited to the following: High Speed Internet service required.
