Industrial Engineer Needed for Product Feasibility & Structural Review (Confidential Project)
I am looking for an experienced Thermoforming or Industrial Engineer to review a new product concept and provide expert guidance on feasibility and production requirements. I already have drawings, sketches, and a physical sample. I need an engineer who can: Review the current design for thermoforming feasibility Advise on material selection (PP, PET, PETG, etc.) Recommend proper thickness (mil/mm) for strength & durability Suggest structural changes to prevent bending/warping Evaluate draft angles, radiuses, and forming limitations Confirm whether the product can be made with vacuum/pressure forming Provide direction on tooling and mold considerations Identify potential manufacturing issues BEFORE I move forward Important: Full details will only be shared after signing an NDA. I prefer someone located in NY/NJ/CT so I can bring the sample in person, but remote is fine if highly experienced. Experience required: Thermoforming engineering Thin-gauge plastics Mold/tooling for thermoforming Packaging or tray design experience (a plus) CAD experience (SolidWorks, Fusion360, AutoCAD) Looking to start immediately.
