Instructional Designer - Remote

Lincoln Tech is seeking an innovative and experienced Instructional Designer to join the WorkforceLinc team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, learning & development and a deep understanding of the skilled trades. This role involves creating engaging, effective training materials and programs that cater to technicians at various skill levels, ensuring our lessons are equipped with the knowledge and technical skills for success in their fields. This position is remote, with moderate travel. Responsibilities of an Instructional Designer: • Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of skilled trade professionals. • Apply adult learning theories to create engaging, accessible learning materials. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance. • Utilize e-learning platforms and digital tools to enhance remote learning experiences. • Adapt training materials to meet the needs of learners with diverse backgrounds, including ESL learners. • Continuously evaluate and update training programs based on feedback and merging industry trends. Requirements of an Instructional Designer: • Degree or Certifications in Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Education Technology, or a related field. • Professional experience in instructional design, preferably within the skilled trades sector. • Experience in skilled trades a big plus. • Proficiency in developing performance-based training programs. • Certification as a Certified Instructional Technologist (CIT) through the Merger Consortium or equivalent. • Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models. • Experience with e-learning platforms and digital tools. • Exceptional communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for diverse audiences. • Creativity in problem-solving and program development. • Incredibly detail oriented, highly analytical and solution focused. • Excellent problem-solving skills. • Ability to engage and build immediate rapport with colleagues. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy. • This position is remote, with moderate travel.
