Instructional Designer, Waxing the City

Purpose Brands, LLC is seeking a leader that is results driven and passionate about the beauty industry to join their corporate team as an Instructional Designer. The role involves designing, delivering, and evaluating learning solutions to enhance the performance of Waxing the City Franchisees. Responsibilities Support the analysis of training needs to determine learning objectives, best learning solutions and evaluation methods to meet the performance outcomes of the business Create scripts and storyboards for e-learning modules, instructional videos, and webinars Design non-technology learning solutions such as instructor-led programs, job aids, learner guides and instructor guides in support of one-off needs or part of a program curriculum Conducts observations, interviews, surveys, and data reviews as part of the training analysis Creates evaluation measures for own programs. Uses this data and learner feedback to make continuous program improvements Ensures project-specific training materials are reviewed and piloted as needed Manages project planning and program development life cycle, including defining scope and deliverable review cycles and tracking milestones and resources Designs and maintains foundational training programs. Recommends maintenance, revision or retirement for these programs Partner with the Director of Technical Training & Innovative Services to develop and implement training assets to ensure the development of high performing studio Cerologists and both Corporate and field training team Prioritize time to balance numerous deliverables across multiple areas of organization Acquire and maintain a working level of knowledge on a day in the life of a WTC studio Partner with subject matter experts across the organization to align training objectives and develop content to support organizational priorities and project goals Partner cross departmentally to develop supporting material / media (audio, video, simulations, role play, games) Lead the planning process for Waxing the City residential learning and engagement programs such as Conference, New Franchisee Training and various ad hoc events and webinars Serve as a lead host for all Waxing the City developmental experiences Design, develop, communicate and implement processes to enable the efficient development and delivery of training for Waxing the City Manage assigned training projects and events to align with planned budget and priorities Lead supplemental / contract work to support training needs as necessary Present weekly status updates to Waxing the City leadership, monthly team updates and as needed ad hoc updates for all projects underway Occasionally provide Purpose Brands and / or Executive updates regarding training projects and events Skills 0-2+ years direct experience with end to end development and delivery of training to support large scale corporate / business initiatives Demonstrated ability to design and build engaging learning content for remote audiences – evergreen and live formats Demonstrated results in training effectiveness and front line adoption across a disperse audience Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and design training to encourage effective change management Demonstrated and recognized presentation and facilitation skills Creative, out of the box thinking and problem solving skills Strong strategic and tactical communication planning and execution skills Comfortable dealing with uncertainty; demonstrated ability to create structure and prioritize work effectively Ability to learn quickly and easily adapt to a dynamic work environment Excellent collaboration, leadership, communication and decision-making skills; ability to work in all phases of project development – strategy, implement, measure, improve Must be comfortable and effective in influencing stakeholders at all levels in the organization Ability to influence without authority; servant leadership mentality Comfortable working in a fast paced, accountability driven and results oriented culture Ability to build authentic working relationships amongst the team and with colleagues across functions Experience working in a franchise environment Experience in the salon / spa / waxing industry Benefits Medical, Dental and Vision Coverage Hybrid Work Environment Life and Disability Insurance Unlimited Time off + Paid Holidays Fridays off between Memorial Day and Labor Day 401(K) Savings Plan Matching at 4% 10 Coaching and Therapy sessions Mental Health Benefits Brand Discounts & Reimbursements In-house workout facilities Professional Development Opportunities Team Building, Employee Engagement Activities & so much more Company Overview Purpose Brands, LLC provides fitness, nutrition and wellness support and services to more than 7,000 communities and millions of people around the world.
