Intake Coordinator- Specialty Pharmacy- Remote

Maxor Specialty has an opportunity for an Intake Coordinator to join our Specialty Pharmacy in Lubbock, TX. This is an excellent opportunity for a person to make a positive impact in the lives of the patients we care for, with a devoted pharmacy operations team. Support personnel duties within the service and fulfillment workflow for Maxor’s Specialty Pharmacy Division. These duties may or may not be required by the state board of pharmacy to be carried out by a technician. All job functions within each category listed below will follow the applicable state board of pharmacy rules and regulations related to support personnel/technician responsibilities of the state the pharmacy resides. Essential functions for each category are outlined below. Each individual employee will have the appropriate boxes checked that indicate what their responsibilities in the pharmacy will include. In some pharmacies, multiple boxes and duties will be assigned to a single individual. This is a remote position. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS APPLICABLE TO ALL ROLES/DUTIES: (This document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying this position) • Meets performance standards and expectations. • Follows all Company policies and procedures. • Assists with projects as necessary. • Assists other areas as needed. • Assists in compiling necessary reports and/or audit information as requested. • Works cooperatively with other staff members to promote a positive and team oriented work environment. • Assists in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy. • Participates in the Performance Improvement/Quality Management Process. • Maintains accurate and complete patient records. • Participates in pharmacy orientation programs, training programs, pharmacy staff meetings, in-services, and other programs as required. • Exemplifies excellence in customer communications and service. • Meets performance standards and expectations. • Has a good understanding and working knowledge of all Maxor policies and procedures, accreditation requirements and HIPAA operational guidelines. • May be included in after hours on-call rotation. • Maintains regular attendance per established policies. • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Intake/Order Entry Functions: • Enters new referrals and /or refill prescriptions into pharmacy system in a timely manner. • Communicates all pertinent information to the authorization/reimbursement department that is necessary to obtain benefit information, authorization, reauthorization, etc. for each patient. • Scans and files all documents in CPR+ (i.e. verbal orders, insurance information, etc.) • Monitors the receipt and distribution of all documentation related to patient records and other correspondence on a daily basis to insure it is routed appropriately and in a timely fashion. • Completes Welcome Call to all new patients introducing Maxor Specialty Pharmacy • Answer incoming calls as assigned and as transferred • Responsible for the following applicable queues in the SPRX list: • Incoming Faxes • P- ePrescription Manager • 2- Patients with incomplete information • 3- Order entry/completion (Need RX) • 4- RX setup • I- Rx Expiration/Zero refills WORK SCHEDULE: • Monday through Friday, 8 hour shifts during regular pharmacy hours • Additional hours as required • Rotating on call responsibilities may be required Qualifications Education • High School diploma or equivalency • Registered/Certified Pharmacy Technician as required by applicable SBO Experience • One - two year’s relevant experience. • Any combination of the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities WHY MAXOR?
