They are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer Intern to assist in developing search ranking and recommendation models, applying machine learning techniques to enhance user interactions with their platform. Responsibilities Assist in designing, building, and optimizing machine learning models that power our search ranking and recommendation systems Support the development of algorithms to personalize search results based on user behavior, preferences, and intent Help create and maintain data pipelines to process large datasets for search and recommendation features Apply foundational techniques in NLP, deep learning, or related areas to improve search relevance and recommendations Contribute to the development of scalable, fault-tolerant, and easy-to-use distributed systems for search and recommendations Create documentation for and test new ML applications Improve coding abilities by being introduced to new tools and programming languages Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to implement ML-driven solutions Skills Currently pursuing a Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts and algorithms Programming experience in Python, and familiarity with SQL Ability to work in teams and communicate technical concepts clearly Eagerness to learn and apply new technologies and ML techniques in a real-world setting Experience with embeddings and LLMs is a plus Company Overview Realtor.com is an online platform that allows users to search for real estate property records, houses, condos and lands.
