Job Title : Internal Sales Manager Job Type: Permanent Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Job Location : Hybrid - Buxton/Manchester Salary: Up to £40K DoE + Bonus About the Role We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Internal Sales Manager to join our Connectivity Strategic Business Unit (C&P). This role is key in supporting our sales operations by managing customer enquiries, preparing accurate and timely quotations, and processing orders efficiently. You will be instrumental in driving commercial success through solution-oriented service, effective communication, and a keen focus on enquiry-to-order conversion. Key Responsibilities Create and process quotations based on client or Business Development Manager (BDM) requests. Communicate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information at the enquiry stage. Ensure timely handling of customer enquiries in line with KPIs. Actively progress quotations through client outreach (Teams calls or face-to-face) to ensure closure. Maintain and continuously improve the enquiry-to-order tracking system. Provide basic technical assistance and act as a commercial point of contact for both new and existing customers. Manage CRM system updates and respond to enquiries from SGS affiliates. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and refer leads to the appropriate sales staff. Support marketing campaigns, internal and external events, and field activities alongside BDMs. Contribute to a customer-focused culture and provide general administrative support to the sales team. Skills & Knowledge Essential: Experience in a commercial or customer-facing role. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and quick adaptability to new systems. Process-driven with a focus on continuous improvement. Desirable: Awareness of product testing and certification services. Experience Essential: Background in sales, customer service, or marketing Customer Focus Proven ability to manage personal workload and processes independently. Desirable: Experience working for a Certification Body or in engineering, certification, or equipment manufacturing sectors. Essential: GCSEs (Grade C or above) in English and Maths. Qualification in an engineering subject (ideally HNC level or above). Desirable: Full UK driving licence.
