We're looking for an experienced Content strategist or someone with similar roles, such as Copywriter and Content Manager to be part of an exciting and challenging project in the redesign of a banking client's platform. Experience working for American banks is a mandatory requirement and to best serve our Baltimore-based client, we're looking for people in the Central or Eastern time zones. The work is 100% remote and on a temporary contractor model. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive content inventory and audits to evaluate existing content for relevance, quality, and SEO performance Develop and maintain content structure and hierarchy, including sitemaps and content matrices that identify themes and content types Create and implement SEO optimization plans, including keyword research and on-page SEO recommendations for metadata, headings, and alt text Establish content governance frameworks with clear guidelines for creation, approval processes, and maintenance Review and optimize URL architecture to enhance SEO performance Provide content editing support through tools and templates for content creators Identify and categorize appropriate content types for different business needs and audiences Qualifications and Skills: Experience in banking industry and financial services sector Proven experience in content strategy development and implementation Strong knowledge of SEO principles and best practices, including keyword research and on-page optimization Experience with content auditing and inventory management tools Proficiency in creating content architecture, sitemaps, and content matrices Working knowledge of CMS systems such as Adobe AEM and Salesforce Experience with analytics tools like Google Analytics to measure content performance Ability to develop content governance frameworks and documentation Strong attention to detail for URL structure optimization and metadata management Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple content initiatives simultaneously Collaborative mindset to work with content creators, designers, and developers Personal Attributes: Analytical thinker with ability to translate data into actionable content strategies Detail-oriented with excellent project management capabilities Creative problem-solver who can optimize content for both user experience and search engines Continuous learner who stays updated on SEO trends and content strategy best practices Excellent communication skills to articulate content recommendations to stakeholders Communication is the key to success. English is essential, as you will be involved in an international project and will be exposed to conversations directly with the client, mainly via email, tickets, and often via conference calls.
