Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Advocate I. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members and physicians by responding to telephone and written inquiries in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner. As a Customer Advocate I, you will work in a fast-paced call center environment, conducting research, and spending approximately 85% of your scheduled time on the phone according to business needs. Key Responsibilities: Respond to telephone and written inquiries from members and physicians in a prompt, accurate, and objective manner. Conduct research to resolve member and physician inquiries. Spends approximately 85% of scheduled time on the phone according to business needs. Provide exceptional customer service to members and physicians, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded. Work collaboratively with other team members to resolve complex issues and provide support. Stay up-to-date on company policies, procedures, and products to provide accurate information to members and physicians. Essential Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 6 months of customer service experience or 6 months of experience in an office environment. Data entry and/or typing experience. Interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Analytical and organizational skills, and independent decision-making skills. Ability to spend approximately 90% of scheduled time on the phone according to business needs and sit for long periods of time with scheduled breaks. Preferred Qualifications: 9 months of customer service experience. Experience working with various lines of business, such as CDHP, Medicare, Wellness, and Disease Management. Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy. Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to change. Referral preference given to applicants able to take and meet testing criteria. Skills and Competencies: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced call center environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in data entry and typing.
