Responsibilities • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote language acquisition. • Utilize various teaching strategies, including classroom activities, multimedia resources, and learning technology, to cater to diverse learning styles. • Assess student progress through regular evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support their growth in literacy education. • Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and communication among students. • Collaborate with colleagues in education administration to enhance the overall educational experience. • Stay updated on best practices in language instruction and incorporate relevant methodologies into lesson planning. • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student performance and classroom activities. • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress reports. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish Language, or a related field is preferred. • Experience in classroom teaching or tutoring is highly desirable. • Familiarity with learning technology tools that facilitate language instruction. • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage students effectively. • Knowledge of the Chicago Manual Style for written assignments is a plus. • Skills in copy editing are beneficial for reviewing student work. • A background in journalism or literacy education can enhance instructional techniques. • Ability to integrate math concepts into language lessons when appropriate.
