Junior Construction Estimator (FULL TIME - IN PERSON / ON SITE JOB)
Position Mission: We are seeking a motivated person to join our team. The ideal candidate has excellent numerical skills with an analytical mindset, a good communicator, excellent organizational skills and must be able to work independently. To deliver accurate, timely, and strategic project estimates that reflect the full scope of work for design-build construction projects, ensuring competitiveness, profitability, and alignment with client expectations. The Estimator serves as a vital bridge between the design, preconstruction, and project delivery teams, supporting informed decision-making and operational success. Supporting Goal: Develop accurate, well-documented estimates that reflect the design intent, project scope, and risk profile for all projects. Skills / Abilities: • Highly organized with good time management skills. • Professional written and verbal communication skills. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Work on multiple company bids simultaneously and deliver in accordance with deadline objectives • Analyzing project specifications, blueprints, and scopes of work. • Operate and maintain proficiency in all internal estimating systems, technologies, and software. • Positive, inquisitive, proactive, and collaborative attitude with the ability to work well with all Company employees, customers, vendors, suppliers, and the general public. • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet the Company core values. • Build trust, communicate effectively, foster innovation, focus on the customer and solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity. • Attend pre-bid meetings in client facilities if needed. Education / Knowledge: • 2+ / 3+ years of hands-on experience in estimating commercial construction projects is required. • Understanding construction, materials, systems, market conditions, and trade practices is required. • Proven experience with pre-construction phase activities on a CM contract, including client and designer meetings is required. • Experience with Plan Swift required. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Project) is required. • Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu, or similar plan viewing applications is required.
