KO in/to EN Transcription Editors, Subtitle Specialists and Translators-TechConf
We are currently looking for experienced linguists to support a high-priority tech conference project involving transcription editing, subtitle creation, and translation tasks in Korean and English (US). This is a time-sensitive assignment with multiple stages, and we are building a reliable team of professionals to cover each part of the process. Project Overview & Tasks Task 1: Transcription Editing – KO > EN Source: Machine-generated transcript + Korean audio Scope: Linguistic transcript editing (not stylistic), including: Correcting AI mistakes (names, punctuation, grammar, etc.) Deleting filler words and repetitions Aligning sentences with proper syntax and structure Volume: Approx. 60 minutes of video / ~9,000 Korean words Start: Thursday, May 22 (evening CET) Delivery: Friday, May 23, 14:00 CET Task 2: Subtitle Creation Based on finalized transcripts from Task 1 - Requirements: Stick to pre-approved length of the subtitles. Accurate time-coding and readability focus No need for premium-level subtitle styling—readability is key Task 3: Translation KO > EN (US) subtitle translation EN > KO subtitle translation - Options accepted: 4-eyes principle (Translator + Editor) - Total volume estimate: EN > KO: Approx. 18,000 words (based on 2 hours of video) - Start: Friday, May 23 afternoon CET Delivery deadline for both language pairs: Monday, May 26, 10:00 CET ⏱️ Finalization Phase (Standby Support) - Monday, May 26 (10:00–18:00 CET) Be available for any source file updates (KO or EN) Apply updates in target files promptly - Tuesday, May 27 (10:00–18:00 CET) Be available for target file revision, if needed Requirements Native speakers of Korean and/or English (US) Experience with transcription editing, subtitle creation, or TEP workflows Fast, detail-oriented linguists with proven ability to meet tight deadlines Familiarity with subtitle formats and tools is a plus (e.g., SRT, VTT, Subtitle Edit) Interested?
