Law Office Manager

Are you ready to manage a dynamic law office in Rockville, MD? The Law Offices of Josephia Rouse is seeking a dedicated Law Office Manager to join our team. With a salary range of $45,000 - $70,000 yearly, this role offers a unique opportunity to oversee daily operations and ensure the smooth functioning of our office. You will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating client services, and maintaining office efficiency. Compensation: $45,000 - $70,000 yearly Responsibilities: • We are focused on creating a plan for the client's future. • You are focused on managing the metrics, so we can provide realistic expectations to clients. • You are focused on growth and seeing a firm grow in accuracy, performance, and culture. • Using reports and case review meetings, ensure clients and matters move through the workflow pipeline at the right pace and that tasks are completed on time. Report to the Administrator/Owner weekly and ensure case status meetings occur at least monthly. • Reviews case management system for the quality and timeliness of work done, meeting deadlines. Monitors tasks and workflow. • Collects records of expenses of costs advanced to clients and updates the case management system and accounting system accordingly. • Oversees and manages vendors to ensure they meet deadlines and deliver quality work. • Manages office facilities and office supply inventory. • Assists the Owner and future Legal Administrator with recruitment, hiring, staff, and general human resources operations. • Supervises the work of the non-lawyer support staff and vendors. • Administers payroll (verifying work hours, leave time, overtime) and benefits. • Oversees the Firm’s records retention and information storage retrieval (case management, contact management, personnel/payroll, document storage, etc.). • Assists with drafting, implementing, maintaining, improving, and monitoring the execution of the Firm's employment policies and procedures. • Ensures that the Firm’s business systems processes are fully documented in writing, organized, and available to the team. • Performs audits and spot-checks to ensure policies and procedures are being followed and operating as intended. • Prepares weekly Dashboard and Project/Status Report for the Owner and future Administrator. • The perfect candidate enjoys metrics guiding their decisions and reporting. Qualifications: We are focused on ensuring that we maintain the client's confidence and goodwill. • Experience with a family law firm. • Prior supervisory experience, preferably with a staff of 10+ people and budgets of $3,500,000 or more. • Employee engagement and leadership, supervision, and termination. • Managing bookkeepers, accountants, technology services, and other vendors. • Managing cases and projects to ensure they are resolved successfully, on time, and on budget. • We care about skills and experience.
