JOB DESCRIPTIONApex is seeking a dynamic Lead Consultant with strong consultative skills to join our Consulting Practice as part of Apex Systems Solutions Delivery Organization. This individual will participate in the clients PQC assessment project, conducting organization-wide risk assessments for legacy and modern applications, coordinating evidence gathering, and producing structured GRC deliverables. While familiarity with PQC concepts is beneficial, prior PQC experience is not required, and guidance will be provided as part of the project. Employees who are not actively deployed on a client project and reside within a one-hour commute of an Apex branch office are expected to work onsite at least once per week. RESPONSIBLITIESLead technical risk assessments across internal applications and vendor systems.Gather evidence from multiple teams and ensure timely follow-up and documentation.Evaluate internal and vendor crypto usage and related security controls.Translate technical findings into GRC deliverables and risk assessments.Collaborate with the DevSecOps Engineer to understand technical implications and remediation paths.Track remediation plans and program compliance across applications and vendors. JOB REQUIREMENTSExperience performing large-scale technical risk assessments, ideally in financial services or similar environments.Strong technical knowledge in data protection and security principles.Comfortable with multi-team coordination and stakeholder engagement.Ability to interpret technical configurations and security evidence.Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Employees who are not actively deployed on a client project and reside within a one-hour commute of an Apex branch office are expected to work onsite at least once per week.Cloud security assessment experience preferred.Exposure to encryption standards, NIST guidance, FIPS, PCI, or SOC frameworks preferred.Practical understanding of technical configurations and workflows preferred.
