Lead Technical Recruiter

Remote, USA Full-time
Who we are At Latitude , we’re building a new category: AI-native games. As the creators of AI Dungeon , we’re pioneering interactive experiences where players can go anywhere, be anyone, and do anything—powered by cutting-edge language models and deep player agency. We’re entering a new chapter—and to get where we’re going, we need an elite team. Not just smart, but relentless. People who push themselves and their craft. People who could thrive anywhere, but choose to work here because they want to do something singular: help invent the future of gaming. If you’re the kind of person others rely on, who learns fast, thinks deeply, and builds with care—we’d love to talk. About the Role We’re looking for a Lead Technical Recruiter to own full-cycle recruiting. You’ll run full-cycle searches while also building and scaling Latitude ’s recruiting strategy, processes, and infrastructure. Your immediate focus will be on hiring exceptional engineers, but you’ll also support recruiting across all functions as we grow. As our first full time recruiting hire, you’ll wear all the hats: sourcing, ATS management, scheduling, closing, operations, etc., and need to be comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution. The right candidate is a creative sourcer, a compelling communicator, and thrives on the challenge of finding and closing world-class talent. You’ll help tell the story of a different kind of gaming startup that's enabling the future of gaming. We’re looking for an SF-based recruiter with a strong Bay Area network (we’re remote-first, but building out a hub in the Bay). Responsibilities Own the full-cycle of recruiting (intake → close), with an initial focus on engineering roles and supporting hiring across all functions as needed Build a diverse candidate pipeline through creative, multi-channel sourcing strategies Manage and optimize Ashby as our ATS; design recruiting workflows and reporting Partner closely with the COO/CEO and hiring managers from intake to interview to onboarding Represent Latitude at Bay Area technical + AI events Required skills Full-cycle recruiting experience with a focus on AI and Software engineering roles, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment. Proven ability to source, engage, and close top engineering talent at senior+ levels. Strong sourcing toolkit, with creativity in building diverse pipelines beyond standard inbound channels. Excellent written communication and storytelling skills, able to convey the mission and opportunity of Latitude to candidates. Comfort wearing multiple hats, from sourcing and scheduling to ATS management and process building. Familiarity with the Bay Area talent market and ability to represent Latitude in local events and communities. Preferred skills Experience recruiting AI/ML talent Ashby/Notion experience Benefits Competitive salary with equity included Medical, dental, and vision: 100% coverage for you and your dependents MacBook Pro + tools you need to do great work Flexible PTO (we recommend 2 days/month and 1 week/quarter off) $100/mo learning fund for courses, books, conferences, or coaching Access to the latest AI tools to accelerate your work How we hire We don’t hire lightly. We’re looking for people who’ve proven they’re world-class at what they do—or who are clearly on their way there. People who combine technical strength with humility, creativity with follow-through, and urgency with long-term thinking. You’ll work with a small, senior team that holds each other to a high bar—and supports each other in reaching it. We care more about trajectory and drive than perfect pedigrees. If you’ve built something exceptional, if you’ve done hard things well, or if you’ve outperformed expectations in surprising ways—tell us. Latitude is remote-first, though we prioritize deep ties to the Bay Area. Most of all, we prioritize people who want to build something great, together. If that’s you, apply now. Or reach out even if you’re unsure—we’d rather start a conversation than miss someone who could shape our future. Compensation Range: $140K - $210K Originally posted on Himalayas
