Learning Experience Designer
WECU is a not-for-profit financial cooperative seeking a Learning Experience Designer to join their Learning & Development team in Bellingham, WA. This role focuses on designing and delivering engaging learning experiences that promote employee growth and organizational impact. Responsibilities Design, develop, implement, and maintain pedagogically sound, scalable, learning experiences and solutions that support the credit union’s business plan, organizational initiatives, and employee performance Facilitate in-person, blended, and virtual classroom instruction, as necessary Utilize eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia) to create interactive, media-rich learning resources, including, but not limited to, eLearning modules, job aids, instructional videos, and simulations Build and maintain learning solutions in a learning management system Define learning objectives and outcomes for learning experiences, as well as evaluation criteria to measure outcomes Map out the learning journey for employees across the organization, and designs learning experiences and solutions that build necessary competencies over time Serves as a learning and development consultant with different departments (e.g., Real Estate, Retail) and/or Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand needs Manage and complete learning experience design tasks on time and within scope Regularly communicate project status to stakeholders, developing tailored messaging, and using appropriate communication channels Complete other duties and projects as assigned Skills Minimum of 1 year learning and development experience required Knowledge of instructional design, curriculum development, and facilitation Functional understanding of Microsoft Office Suite Ability to represent the credit union in a positive, professional manner internally and externally Ability to maintain strict level of confidentiality and security in sensitive areas Ability to operate routine office equipment Flexibility and capacity to manage many responsibilities simultaneously Ability to exercise independent judgment Ability to organize projects, prioritize workflow, and complete multiple tasks accurately and in a timely manner Ability to organize and structure digital content Bachelor's degree preferred Benefits Robust medical, dental, and vision benefits with low employee premiums 401(k) retirement plan with an 8% annual contribution from WECU Bonus plan Two or more weeks of vacation Up to 11 paid holidays Paid life and disability insurance Annual wellness benefit Loan discounts Professional development And much more Company Overview WECU provides checking, saving accounts, credit cards, loans, real estate lending, cash management, customer lending and merchant services.
