Summary: Oversees the Learning Networks Quality Improvement (QI) efforts with a broad group across various North American Heart Center member institutions and affiliated Cardiac Network Unities registries, including national thought leaders aimed at improving clinical care and outcomes. Manages/leads/develops/facilitates the Learning Network's Clinical Quality Improvement (CQI) portfolio of work through development, implementation, ongoing monitoring, and revisions across the range of member Heart Centers and institutes. Participates in the development of educational, research, and dissemination of Learning Network QI activities to support learning on a broader scale aimed at maturing the Learning Network across multiple domains. Assists Program Director HC National Collaboratives in planning, developing, implementing and evaluating systems of learning and collaboration to accelerate the optimization of learning network strategic outputs including clinical guidelines and protocols, clinical process improvement and aggregate patient outcome measures. Builds strategy for advancement of quality improvement, collaboration and learning across the learning network. Responsibilities: • Works in partnership with the Learning Network Executive and QI committee leadership to design collaborative QI projects - develops measurable outcomes to assess impact of improvement initiatives across the aggregate and provide individual center specific coaching, as needed. • Collaborates with Cardiac Networks United registries related to cross-collaborative, multi-disciplinary QI initiatives or projects aimed at improving patient outcomes across the continuum of care. • Serves as a consultant on Learning Network QI initiatives, applying improvement science methodologies and tools, project management skills, strategic planning and change management expertise, and providing data analytical support. • Reviews network aggregate quality and safety performance data against national or international benchmarks to identify opportunities for improvement projects. • Collaborates with network committee leaders to develop project documents including presentations, project charter, key driver diagram, process flow and other CQI documents, as necessary. • Applies strategic knowledge, expertise, and tools to develop and maintain strategic QI plan for the Learning Network (ex. developing network level KDD) • Utilizes and interprets data for high level decision making (ex. interpreting data to determine if should spread a QI project to the network and if yes strategy to apply to spread), • Facilitation and design of multi-site QI work in complex virtual environment • Collaborates with learning network committees to develop educational resources and programs to enhance QI expertise across the network. • Develops run charts, control charts and other graphical representations of Learning Network aggregate CQI project metrics as appropriate. • Collaborates with Learning Network members to develop resources and support posters, abstracts and/or manuscripts to further share learning across healthcare conferences or publication platforms. • Partners with the learning network teams and leaders to design and organize bi-yearly conferences or learning sessions. • Partners with the HC Program Director Learning Network to support internal QI learning network efforts with the goal of improving outcomes for patient populations at Children’s Health System of Texas. How You’ll Be Successful: Other information: WORK EXPERIENCE • At least 8 years' Experience in Healthcare Environment Required • At least 5 years' Experience in Quality, process improvement, or equivalent Required EDUCATION Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience Required LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS • RN Preferred • Quality or equivalent industry-specific certification (CPHQ, PMP, engineering, lean, six sigma, etc.) Preferred A Place Where You Belong We put our people first.
