Legal Counsel, Litigation
We are looking for an experienced Legal Counsel, Litigation to join the PayPal legal team. This key role requires an individual who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project management and communication skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment and can handle multiple tasks at once.The Legal Counsel, Litigation will provide legal advice on litigation matters, including state and federal court litigation, regulatory proceedings, and disputes with customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of legal principles, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to review, assess, and advise on legal risk.The successful candidate will possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and be an active member of the bar in good standing. Prior experience with litigation and dispute resolution is preferred. The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other business stakeholders is essential. Finally, a commitment to providing timely, accurate legal advice and services, with a focus on risk management, is important. Responsibilities: Provide legal advice and guidance on litigation matters, including state and federal court litigation, regulatory proceedings, and disputes with customers. Review, assess, and advise on legal risk associated with litigation and other legal matters. Collaborate with colleagues and other business stakeholders to provide timely and accurate legal advice and services. Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of legal principles and applicable laws. Manage multiple tasks and handle a fast-paced environment. Maintain good standing with the bar and stay current on legal updates. Utilize strong project management and communication skills. Demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities. Exercise strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Demonstrate a commitment to risk management.
