Legal Counsel (Product Compliance: Crypto)

Now we are looking for a Legal Counsel (Product Compliance: Crypto) who will be responsible for providing legal support for crypto-related products and services, as well as offering guidance on compliance and regulatory matters within the crypto space. What you will be doing: • Provide expert legal advice and support to both customers and colleagues on all compliance matters related to cryptoasset regulation. • Offer legal assistance in maintaining existing crypto products and services, and support the development of new offerings within the scope of cryptoasset regulation. • Participate in conducting periodic internal compliance audits to ensure that crypto products and services meet regulatory requirements. • Assist in development and maintenance of relevant documentation, ensuring it is current and accurate. • Monitor, analyze, and assess regulatory updates in the field of cryptoasset regulation, informing relevant teams of changes when necessary. • Review marketing materials related to cryptoasset regulation. • Manage additional responsibilities as assigned by management. What we are looking for: Must have: • Law degree. By way of exception, we are ready to consider candidates without a law degree but with extensive experience in compliance and good command of legal research skills. • In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the crypto industry (preferably worldwide, at a minimum – in the EU), particularly in relation to the AML/CFT framework (customer due diligence, “Travel Rule”, etc). • Attention to detail, strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities. Nice to have: • Over 1 year of practical experience in the cryptoasset field or, generally, in AML/CFT-regulated companies. • Understanding of the major cryptoasset characteristics, protocols, blockchain consensus mechanisms.
