In this role, you will provide support to our trial team and assist in all phases of the litigation process. You will perform legal research, conduct interviews, file documents, and attend trials. The ideal candidate is hardworking and detail-oriented. Responsibilities • Prepare case-specific documents, including memoranda and briefs • Ensure that case-related documents are well organized and available for review • Conduct legal research and investigation • Provide general administrative support • Communicate with clients and witnesses • Attend court sessions and record important information • Maintain and update documentation • Assist with discovery requests • Draft and prepare discovery responses and propound written discovery (Form Interrogatories, Special Interrogatories, Requests for Production, etc.) • Assist in drafting basic motions and related pleadings • Organize and maintain litigation files and case management systems • Manage and maintain litigation calendars, including deadlines for discovery, court hearings, depositions, and motion practice • Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including preparation of exhibits, subpoenas, and witness lists • Communicate with clients, experts, and vendors in a professional manner • Perform factual and legal research as needed Qualifications • 1-3 years of previous experience as a Litigation Paralegal or similar role is preferred • Certification or associate's degree as a Paralegal is preferred • Familiarity with legal procedures, terminology, and the court system • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Highly organized with document management experience • Excellent research skills • Comfortable Microsoft Office and case management software • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment • Strong understanding of California civil litigation procedure This is a remote position.
