Role: Data Modeler with Redshift Location: Remote. Mail: Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler with strong expertise in Amazon Redshift to design, optimize, and maintain scalable data models that support enterprise analytical and reporting needs. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and AWS cloud-based data ecosystems. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for analytics and reporting. • Build and optimize data warehouse models (Star/Snowflake schemas) on Amazon Redshift. • Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to populate Redshift using tools like AWS Glue, Lambda, or SQL-based ingestion. • Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across all data assets. • Conduct performance tuning of Redshift tables, distribution keys, sort keys, and workload management. • Collaborate with data engineers, BI teams, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements. • Maintain metadata, data dictionaries, and entity-relationship diagrams using industry-standard tools. • Implement data best practices for partitioning, compression, and query optimization in Redshift. • Support migrations from legacy data warehouses to Amazon Redshift. • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architectural planning sessions. Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • 9 years of experience in data modeling and data warehousing. • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift (tables, distribution/sort keys, WLM, spectrum, materialized views). • Expertise in dimensional modeling and OLAP/OLTP data structures. • Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. • Experience with AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Data Pipeline, IAM, and CloudWatch. • Knowledge of data architecture principles, schema design, and database normalization. • Familiarity with data modeling tools (Erwin, ER/Studio, dbt, Lucidchart, etc.). • Understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data integration, and data lifecycle management.
